Since they locked themselves inside the church, they naturally ran out of provisions and water. Then a miracle happened. A well came out at the foot of the altar which gave the people water to drink during the invasion. This same well is still visible inside Dauis Church and continues to provide water to the people living nearby. Even though the well is about 200 meters away from the sea, the water is absolutely fresh. It is said to have healing powers and many have already attested to it. If you’re visiting Dauis Church, be sure to bring a bottle and take some water home.
